Fascinated is to walk across the narrow streets of the old village San Cristobal de la Habana; mainly the Cathedral Square near to El Callejon del Chorro, closed at the end for the experimental printing workshop. Just in this area, beside this workshop Doña Eutimia Paladar is waiting for you. The atmosphere and decoration of this place take us to the centuries XVII and XVIII, the principal dinning room shows old clocks, nice furniture’s, like comfortable tables and chairs for 2, 4, and 6 people. Delimiting the bar from the dinning room you appreciate a beautiful colonial screen and after it a table for two. Upstairs there is an air-conditioned private dinning room with capacity for at least 10 people with a peculiar bar and a warm atmosphere because of a modern decoration. Also, outside you can enjoy the arquitecture of the area having a fresh drink.
In 2013 this place got the certificate of excellence because it’s an authentic place, where you can appreciate the professionalism, the simplicity, and the spontaneity of waiters before, during and after the service. Among the appetizers the Leticia’s croquettes, made of fish, for 2.00 CUC are really delicious with a touch of ketchup. All the main dishes have garnishes like white rice, black beans, fried root vegetables, and vegetable salads. The special of the house is the Chattered Meat made of lamb, with dry and natural spices, just in 7.00 CUC. It’s significant to mention the freshness of the vegetables in the salads and the genuine taste of the natural fruits like in the melon juice.
